Eun Vivian Lee is a contemporary artist who was born in Seoul, Korea. She lived the last 20 years in New York city and now traveling and working in Hong Kong, Seoul, Singapore and New York city.
Vivian has always been fascinated by emotions and portraying them through art. She wants viewers to be able to relate to the feelings beneath the surface of the art – on a deeper level. Through the time spent given, everyday we miss out on things that we must savor and embrace now.
Contradictive Notion: Place & Time
Where we are in life; emotionally or physically, place and time heavily influences on our thinking and perspectives. The artist wants depict the human notions that’s constantly changing conveniently to our situations by creating two opposite sides of the spectrum.
These smaller dot pieces are Vivian’s visual articulation of feeling process and how it progresses over time. Like the way people deal with stress, challenging situations, life crisis, every day life, life changing experiences and successful opportunities they forget to grab. Each of her artworks are compelled to be another part, scene, chapter, or page in life someone goes through.
